One reason we have for offering videos of so many different combinations is that we hope people will find a small number of them that they particularly like and learn those well. They can then, slowly, add these, for them, special, combinations to their working social vocabulary.

This is a 360 degree turn...
00:07
..and it’s not a single axis turn
or not too much.
00:12
And I really want you to focus
on the way the first two steps...
00:15
.. are about the leader
going around the follower...
00:16
..and then the next over pivot
about the follower going around the leader.
00:21
So we each do our part.
00:24
First half of the step, the basic, I’ll just show.
00:31
And that’s normal and then
here’s where it stops being normal.
00:40
Breaking down the leader’s part.
00:44
After the thing, she's crossed.
00:47
Actually from here, I’m rotating my chest to my left
and I’m extending my foot forward.
00:53
So she’s going to step a little off the line.
00:56
Showing that to the camera…
00:57
..here’s the cross and so she’s going
that way as I go forward.
01:03
So I go to the inside of her leg.
01:07
From the cross, just right here.
01:09
As she extends it back, you see
I’m extending inside her leg around her back leg…
01:15
..or her reaching leg, her right leg.
01:18
After that - after that reach,
I go there and stand up.
01:22
She’s up but leaning back,
so that sort of gives extra room.
01:26
A little bit of colgada.
01:27
And I’ll step side around her,
so I have forward, side around her…
01:32
..she’s in one place.
01:35
I’m on my right leg and then here it over pivots.
01:38
I say to her, really pivot
and she crosses almost by me.
01:42
And what that feels like almost is that…
01:44
..I lean back to him and
he’s gotten me around by magic.
01:49
And then I have to reach further,
almost as if it's a back ocho.
01:54
A rather extreme back ocho.
01:56
Which we're then not going to complete.
01:57
I'll start further back.
02:09
Now for the followers,
I want you to think that you go by him.
02:14
So almost, if you’re -
if this is the leader and I’m the follower…
02:19
..I’m going to pivot,
I’m going to go past the leader.
02:23
So I’m really cutting by him
with my back step, backwards.
02:31
In the lean, remember to hold in
and pull back a little bit with your back.
02:41
Like that.
