Facing - Ocho and Basic
None
- 00:00
- So as we think about the basic and the cro, uh,
- 00:03
- and the front ocho from the perspective of facing,
- 00:06
- I want you to tell yourself a story
- 00:08
- that when I do the basic, initially we start in line,
- 00:11
- we're right in front of each other, and
- 00:13
- after the sidestep, now she's to my side.
- 00:17
- So there's this sense of, of,
- 00:19
- I'm gonna call it continence dissonance.
- 00:23
- And then, ah, she comes back in front of me again.
- 00:25
- And so that makes the facing feel very different.
- 00:29
- So we have here, she's in front of me.
- 00:31
- Oh, she's to my right side.
- 00:32
- And there's that pull, there's that pull.
- 00:34
- And now, oh, she comes back in front of me again.
- 00:38
- Ah, the relief. And so I want you to feel like you're going
- 00:41
- through this emotional journey
- 00:43
- of connecting with your partner.
- 00:45
- And then it pulls away and,
- 00:47
- and then it comes back again. And
- 00:48
- Ideally the comeback again mirrors each other.
- 00:52
- And so let's, uh, exaggerate that for you.
- 01:02
- And then if we talk about, uh, front ocho,
- 01:05
- you have a similar story, right?
- 01:06
- That we're here. And then there's this yearning.
- 01:09
- It comes to face, and then it pulls away.
- 01:22
- See how our bodies pivot really together.
- 01:26
- And then this last pivot, we say, oh, finally at last,
- 01:31
- and then you exit.
