Lengthening Off & Through the Hips - Internal Mechanics

- 00:00
- David has analyzed physically what he does in order
- 00:03
- to achieve that effect,
- 00:04
- and he understands the way the muscles
- 00:06
- work together to make that happen.
- 00:09
- Well, hopefully.
- 00:10
- Uh, and first I wanna say, actually, I think that
- 00:13
- what I'm gonna tell you is less useful than the earlier
- 00:15
- video, but I wanna say it anyway.
- 00:17
- I, by the way, yeah, it's less useful,
- 00:20
- but I wanna say it anyway so
- 00:21
- that there's at least a complete understanding
- 00:22
- and we're, we're documenting it all here in video for you.
- 00:25
- Um, so in my, uh, physical sensation
- 00:30
- and in mom's physical sensation too, actually, yeah, we,
- 00:33
- We talked about it. We
- 00:34
- actually do it ex the same way,
- 00:35
- with the same muscular engagement in the same
- 00:38
- Relaxation. Uh, essentially
- 00:39
- what happens is, let's zoom in even more,
- 00:46
- is that even if I'm well aligned here,
- 00:51
- here I'm well aligned and I'm down,
- 00:53
- I'm crunched into my hips a little bit.
- 00:55
- And then here,
- 01:02
- Can you guys see the difference?
- 01:04
- So here's B, He really did grow.
- 01:07
- Here's A,
- 01:12
- there's B and my sensation is, it's almost
- 01:17
- as if I'm taking my hips
- 01:20
- and some deep muscle deep in my, I don't know what it is,
- 01:25
- pelvis, abdomen, low back, and it's wrapping around
- 01:31
- and lengthening up.
- 01:33
- And then because it's tight and it's just wrapped around
- 01:36
- and lengthened up, uh,
- 01:39
- and that tightness makes it, uh,
- 01:41
- limits your ability to move.
- 01:43
- Then we have this wrap around, lift up.
- 01:49
- Then we say, well, let's relax a little bit.
- 01:52
- And now you can get even a little bit more length.
- 01:57
- And so that's the internal, uh, sensation
- 01:59
- for me and for mom. It is,
- 02:01
- We do it the same way. We
- 02:02
- just talk about it differently.
- 02:03
- But the unfortunate thing is that it's, uh, if you try
- 02:08
- to do that, you'll probably end up using the wrong muscles.
- 02:11
- So because of that, instead practice it the way mom
- 02:14
- suggested in, in the earlier video.
