You've shown a vals, a tango and a milonga, which is cool. I especially thank you for the milonga, which I hadn't seen. We particularly like Mariela Sametband for her milonga. It mixes so much core with casual essence. I found this one milonga while looking for a different one I wanted to show you (which I failed to find). I like both of them, which is often not the case for me. And I particularly like how they create that push/pull pressure between them. An example of that is at 1:45-1:46.

"Romp to the catch?" You have such a great way with words.

They say a great sculptor sculpts an elephant by taking away everything that isn't elephant. I think paring a body of knowledge or a series of movements down to their most essential elements creates something elegant. And, in so doing, we clarify our understanding of that knowledge or movement.

Thank you so much, Steve. This was beautiful and touching. I've written you an email but I just wanted to reiterate that mothers hope their beloved children will always keep in touch :-)

That's really interesting. For so many, the key is the relationship between the dancers. For me, first, comes my relationship to the dance and then my relationship, through dance, between me, my partner and the music. I'd be very interested in how others experience it.
