One thing which is really nice is finding the timing so that you can catch the foot and just go naturally (for the leaders) and for the followers let the foot follow the body. The followers need to keep a soft pressure in the foot so that the drag of the leg has a beautiful connection and feels more natural instead of something that is broken up. Like so many other things it's very hard (Nancy says: "until it's easy").

Complex tangos sung in both spanish and yiddish with great authenticity.

From artist's website about one album: Tells the story of piringundines, from German cabaret to the Buenos Aires tango venue, and with the tango it will take us through a history of crossed destinies, and misunderstandings, love, and forget that we identifys as Argentinians.

For me, the drag is a lot about the way
the bodies cause the limbs to move.
00:10
It’s an emphasising of the profound togetherness
that comes from here…
00:15
..rather than from here.
00:17
So when people see a drag, they think...
00:19
D: “Oh I’m pushing her leg. I’m pushing her foot”
N: We’re moving a leg. Right.
00:22
But you see…
00:24
N: It’s not like that.
D: ..when I push her foot
00:25
- this is the wrong way to drag.
This is just in my leg.
00:28
You know I’m playing soccer.
00:29
D. Dribbling.
N. David.
00:32
D. Getting in trouble.
N. Yes.
00:34
But, it’s not about that at all.
Here’s how you get out of trouble.
00:36
When you drag, you’ll see
it's my whole body that shifts.
00:41
And the whole body that shifts.
00:43
And so, I don’t need that foot, right?
00:44
I can drag by moving the body and the body.
00:48
And then, here’s the psychic drag.
00:52
And then, when you get to the non-psychic drag…
00:54
..because it is so much about the body,
it creates incredible togetherness.
00:58
And I think that’s really the important thing.
01:00
For me, as well,
the drag is about a dialogue between us…
01:04
..just because of what we just showed.
01:06
He can drag me, of course, and we’ve shown
this before.
01:10
But, I can also drag him back.
01:13
And that’s really about us talking to each other
with our legs through our core in a different way.
