As you watch these milonga chapters, now you can see that, mostly, there isn't that much fancy stuff. It's mostly walking. And then you'd ask, "why is it hard to learn?" "Why is it that I see them do it and it makes no sense?" And our answer is that, the more something is whole in dance, the harder it is to see just the steps as steps. There is all this other information. At the beginning, sometimes it's useful to actually focus some stuff out.

(From Wikipedia): Anibal Troilo was a bandoneon player, composer, arranger and bandleader in Argentina. His orquesta típica was among the most popular with social dancers during the golden age of tango (1940-1955), but he changed to a concert sound by the late 1950s. Troilo's orchestra is best known for its instrumentals and also recorded with many vocalists.

00:04
So, we're going to teach a number of chapters on milonga.
00:08
That have fairly simple steps that build on each other, and we're going to do it fairly rapidly.
00:12
But it should be something that you can get your mind about, pretty easily, and be able to go out and do milonga.
00:21
So, this next step will start a lot like the previous one, so, if we do it in slow motion...
00:25
Actually, we'll do a preview.
00:39
So, that step starts a lot like the previous step.
00:42
We're here, weight change, change, the guy goes back,
00:48
Almost in place as he goes side, through.
00:52
So, the first three steps are the exact same as our previous, you know, 4-count basic, although there are lots of 4-count basics.
00:59
So, one more time, you've got back, she goes around you, through.
01:04
And now, what we're going to do is we're going to add... The last three steps will be different.
01:09
So, after that through, we've got forward, return, together, change.
01:18
So, for the guys, one more time, we've got back, around, through, forward, together, change.
01:27
But, there I paused, so you could see the new part.
01:30
When we really do this, there's no pause.
01:37
And then it goes on. For the ladies, as you do this...
01:41
Let's, actually, start on the other side, so it's easier for you to follow.
01:45
You've got forward, bigger side, to get around him, back, that's the exact same as the previous step.
01:51
And he's going to keep - continue this way, bringing you back, and your feet will come together.
01:56
And there's a little bit of a sense of a snap, which is sort of cool.
01:59
That's really the fun part of this step.
02:04
Actually, it's here.
02:14
Now, really, as you dancing this, I just want to make two reminders.
02:18
So, the first reminder... The first reminder is that there's an instinct to do too much.
02:25
So, we have four chapters on styling.
02:28
And milonga's a cool dance, because you can do stuff.
02:30
But, at the beginning, do less, and think it's more like just walking in a natural way, and holding your partner.
02:35
And then, over time, you can add different styling, starting subtly.
02:39
So, basically, the start is step on every beat, and you hold your body pretty tight.
02:44
And you walk small, and kind of tight, and that's enough.
02:47
Yes. One more time we'll show...
